At Stella Maris, our Portuguese Water Dogs aren't just part of our breeding program—they're beloved members of our family. They live in our home, sleep on our beds, and share in all our family adventures. From beach trips and mountain hikes to quiet evenings by the fire, our dogs are constant companions in our daily lives.
We believe this family integration is essential for developing well-adjusted, confident dogs with excellent temperaments. Our puppies are raised in a home environment with plenty of love, socialization, and exposure to everyday household activities. The deep bond we share with our dogs reflects our commitment to raising Portuguese Water Dogs that are not only physically sound but emotionally balanced and ready to become cherished family members in their forever homes.

Arthy is our distinguished male champion with an exceptional temperament and structure. His balanced movement and friendly disposition make him a standout both in the show ring and at home. He has passed all health clearances including OFA hip and elbow evaluations, CERF eye examination, and genetic testing for breed-specific conditions.
Known for his gentle nature with children and enthusiastic participation in water work, Arthy embodies the versatility that makes Portuguese Water Dogs so special. His offspring have inherited his stable temperament and sound conformation. When he's not showing or training, Arthy enjoys being the household clown and going for long swims at our local lake.

Sofia is our accomplished female with multiple championships and working titles. Her strong working drive and exceptional intelligence have made her successful in both conformation and performance events. She has cleared all health testing with excellent results.
With her athletic build and spirited personality, Sofia excels in water trials and has even worked as a therapy dog in local hospitals. Her maternal instincts are remarkable, making her an excellent dam who passes on her lovely curly coat and bright disposition. At home, she's the ever-vigilant "house manager" who keeps everyone in line while enjoying cuddles on the couch during movie nights.
